Jack is turning 1 on Sunday, so I am going to try to do one last update about him before the big day. He is growing and developing so quickly, it's really hard to keep up.
The new thing this week, eating. I know, he was already eating solid, real foods. But this week he had his first full meal without any baby food. He's eaten pretty well this week all told. He had Salisbury steak, Chicken Parmesan, a hamburger, french toast, a blueberry muffin, and that's just at school. Tonight for dinner, he and I had barbecued chicken, steamed broccoli, Stove Top stuffing and applesauce. It's pretty fun to just have to make one meal for us. Of course, it does mean I have to cook; no just throwing a pot of noodles together and calling it dinner.
I'd have to say his favorite foods are veggies. He also likes fruit and chicken, but there's really not a veggie this kid won't try and like. I thought he was going to dislike peas since he wouldn't touch them the other night at home, but his teachers say he ate them well at school the other day.
The walking is progressing too. He's been taking steps at school now. He's even getting risky and letting go of stuff without really knowing where to hold onto next. Luckily, he has also learned how to fall on his butt.
Well, I think that's about it. Our baby is turning one on Sunday, and by all accounts, is definitely ready to be a little boy!
